Alyxander James is a queer, nonbinary singer-songwriter who lives, works, and makes music in Minneapolis, MN.
Alyx believes in the power of music to connect people, to hold up a mirror to the deeply held feelings and beliefs that make us human. Their songs have been referred to as "honest," "lyric-driven," "forthright," and "big-hearted," and reflect experiences that are at once personal and universal.
Alyx writes primarily on guitar and baritone ukulele, with occasional appearances by mandolin, mandola, octave mandolin, concert ukulele, or banjo. They're hoping to reintroduce piano to their repertoire soon.
When they're not making music, Alyx also works as a spiritual companion, tarot reader, and game designer at Restless Courage, LLC.
